Health Justice
We work to ensure children can be healthy in healthy neighborhoods.
Creating Healthy Schools & Communities
We provide programs, services, and community resources with local schools and community partners across the Town of Hempstead in an effort to improve health outcomes within communities of color. This is part of a collaboration with Western Suffolk BOCES and New York State Department of Health.
Complete Streets & Environmental Justice
We co-lead a complete streets coalition with community leaders and government partners to ensure the neighborhood we serve are safe and walkable. We also work on community-led advocacy with state and local health entities in remediating contaminated properties, as well as, improving air and water quality.
